Biography

Silvia Inselvini’s art focuses on gesture, in particular the repetition of the same gesture over and over again. Inselvini brings various elements into an interplay: rhythm, gesture, repetition and the singularity of the tool – the link between them: Time. In almost infinite gestural repetitions of hatching, she applies ink from ballpoint pens to paper without gaps. The Notturni – artworks, which are mainly created at night, thus embody the incessant rhythm that forms infinity, the quintessence of time.
