With the title “Spurensuche” (“tracking”) Galerie Isabelle Lesmeister invites you to get a completely new perspective on everyday life: the view from above.
In the solo exhibition works of the renowned photographer Menno Aden from Berlin are on view. They theorize and question our visual habits. Garages, class rooms or operating theatres from the series “Raumportraits” (“room portraits”) (since 2005) appear open like an architectural model. This way, the public space turns into a objectified classification system. In the other series on view, “Tracks and Fields” (since 2009/2010), Aden analyzes the abstract play of colors and surfaces which he distilled from Berlins subway stations, through tall strip-formats.
