INFINITE

We know wood as a heavy material that has now become a luxury item. What we don’t know yet are sculptures made of wood that seemingly weightlessly, like a dancer’s gymnastic band, pull themselves through spaces and thus recreate them.

The artist leaves us amazed not only because of the reinvention of the visual weight of wood. The loops he shapes seem almost endless, winding into each other and finally joining to form a floating whole to be crossed.
By steaming wood, Holmes creates variations that seem to us like diverse snapshots of movement.
